Examinations held at UTAD - Module examinations

(1) Examinations are conducted during examination periods as announced in the usual terms. The application for examination admission has to be handed in 2 weeks before the examination at the latest. The application has made at the responsible examination office. Examination dates have to be announced by the Examination Board at least 4 weeks before the examination.

(2) Examinations are taken in written form.

(3) Written examinations pursue the guidelines as follows:

Written examinations can be realised in form of tests and in form of papers and assignments.

Tests are graded by one examiner. The grading process should not exceed 6 weeks.

The examiner defines which aids can be used. The aids legitimate for the examination have to be announced before the commencement.

Written tests can be verified by other scientific staff but need to be finally checked by an examiner.

(4) If the candidate can prove to the Examination Board that s/he cannot take an examination or parts of it in the way required due to a lasting or permanent physical handicap, the candidate can either be allocated extra time or for the original format to be structured to their needs.

(5) The forms of examination may consist of several smaller tests, which will equal the final module examination. The final aggregate grade is determined arithmetically from all single grades. However, a Certificate is given to each student for each module undertaken.
