Study and Examination Rules
Performance Analysis of Sport is an accreditated (ZeVA) fulltime study programme with 120 ETCS (European Transfer Credit System). 1 ETCS corresponds to 28 hours of students working time. In each module the student has to work at least 420 hours to receive 15 ETCS. Permanent attendance is required in all lectures, seminars and tutorials. Absenteeism caused by illness needs to be excused immediately and a medical certificate/proof needs to be send to the coordinator within three days. In general, study rules of the hosting universtiy are valid for the current study period.
Regular study time and structure
The study programme is a four-semester programme including a master thesis. The content has been selected and developed in appropriate dimensions for a 4-semester programme (3 blocks of 15 weeks + work placement/internship and master thesis). This ensures that the study programme can be finished within 4 semesters. 120 ECTS credit points are awarded for the complete study programme. The ECTS credit points reflect the performance in the modules, the work placement/internship integrated and the master thesis.
The study programme starts in the winter semesters only.
Structure of examinations and deadlines
The study programme is deemed to have been successfully completed by passing the modules examinations and the Master of Science thesis. The modules are continuously assessed. The function of examiners is undertaken by the university teachers responsible for the modules. If the regular study time is extended by more than two semesters, the study programme will be declared not successfully completed. Exceptions from this regulation can be made in justified cases. Furthermore, this regulation does not apply in cases where the extension was not caused by the student.
Jurisdiction
For the study programme and examinations, the individual legal systems of each of the participating countries and universities will apply for the duration of the course in the respective universities. Students are required to inform and familiarise themselves with the examination regulations and conditions of study which apply.
